Yerba La Merced - Barbacua
Yerba mate La Merced Barbacuá has been cultivated in a special soil and climate in the northeast of the Argentine Republic. Due to its origins and its special type of grinding, it is a superior quality herb of limited production, with an unmistakable flavor. La Merced Barbacuá is a yerba made with a stick, dried using an artisan technique inherited from the Guarani Indians. This drying technique consists of a slow and dedicated process in which the leaves are exposed to the heat of a wood fire for an entire day. This particular process gives yerba mate an extraordinary robust and delicately smoked flavor. To the particularity of its elaboration is added a parking period of no more than 12 months, where it acquires its characteristic aroma and color.
